My impression:

Autumn by Ali Smith

I have read Autumn and loved it! You can read my review here.

History of Wolves by Emily Fridlund

I read this book earlier in the year but never wrote a review because I couldn’t decide how I felt about it. I did rate it 4 stars so that’s a positive sign! This one may warrant a re-read.

Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders

I started reading this book last week, made it to page 140 and had to stop. I was finding it incredibly uninteresting! There have been many glowing reviews so I am definitely in the minority with this one!

4 3 2 1 by Paul Auster

I haven’t had any interest in picking up this book, and given it’s size, I probably won’t bother unless it wins.

Exit West by Mohsin Hamid

I’m not surprised this book made the shortlist. I have heard mixed reviews but it is piquing my interest so I will look to pick this one up soon.

Elmet by Fiona Mozley

The final book on the shortlist and the third I haven’t read. I am pleased to see this one made the cut and I will hopefully read it soon!

I will be sure to write reviews for the remaining books on the shortlist once I have read them, so keep an eye out for those!

The winner will be announced on October 17.

The Anti-Cool Girl by Rosie Waterland.

Rosie first came to fame as the writer of the popular and hilarious recaps of Australia's The Bachelor on Mamamia.

I highly recommend this book and her podcast called Mum Says My Memoir Is A Lie.
